What Brinn's Wearing Wednesday!!!!!

We Nannied today and we are worn out. Brinn helped me water flowers when I got home :) Could she be any sweeter?

Alex and Nik just got back from their Honeymoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really missed them... for real. I didn't want to bother them because I knew they got back today so you can imagine how excited I was to see Alex Durlam come up on my phone!! He said we got peanut something come over!!!!! So.... we went :) I had one of these when I was little and I need to break out the picture!

Brinn is pretty spoiled by her Aunt Nikki and Uncle Alex... she is their first and favorite niece! Love you both!!!!!!

Date Nite.

Date night with my little Lady!We were lazy all day through the rain and we needed to get out of the house. I've been searching for a cute bikini for peanut so we went to old navy to get the 8 dollar one on sale! Then we went to the Majestic Lion for some antiquing. We ate at Pancheros and shared a burrito and then over to Marble Slab for some ice cream! I got the usual coffee with oreo, carmel, and for peanut I put in some gummy bears in... ok yeah I always put gummy bears!

Brinn has this crazy obsession with buckling things... everywhere we go this is the first thing she wants to do.

CHEESE!

We for sure kicked our little heels up tonight with dinner and ice cream watch out! We ended the night dancing in the living room the usual wind down at our house!

Summer.

Then my favorite home grown meal! Fresh greens with onion and bacon... twice baked taters and a big old juicy steak... this is a usual at my parents :)

This is what Summer is about at my house. This is what I was raised with and it's the BEST feeling ever :)

My Daddy.

I heard this song today and thought of my Dad. I thought of Jono and how he hasn't really gotten to be the great Dad that he is this year. I feel terrible because I find myself telling him so many things about Brinn and how exciting things can be with her. I realize he probably is hurting so much inside wishing he could be here. So this one is for Jono. You've been the most perfect Father not only when Brinn entered this world but the day you found out you were bringing a child into this world. As scary as it was for the both of us... I will NEVER forget this. The flood of emotions and we had gone on a walk literally hours after we found out. Jono stopped me about a block away and gabbed me and just looked at me and said lets be the coolest parents ever! I always knew that he would be a great father... but that was the day I knew I would marry him and love him for the rest of my life. Love you Jono soon enough you will be home and being the BEST Father that little girl will ever get to meet :) 

You don't have to let go of her yet...

My Daddy still hasn't let me go I'll always be his little girl :) 

What Brinn's Wearing Wednesday!

Today is short and sweet just like my little girl!

Lake Girl :)

Well I'm proud to say my daughter is a water bug! She will definately be a little skier like her Momma and Papa. The big girl rode in the boat tonight with her life jacket of course (I'm not a bad mom) and Papa drove Mommy and she didn't even cry she sat and smiled so big the whole time!!! She loves water and the lake just like I did when I was little!!!

This was my favorite part of the summer... skiing with Dad going to the lake with Dad!!! This is old Pickle Farm where we skied in Des Moines and then we moved out to the Dream Lake!!! It's been history ever since. 

She sat right next to her Papa and smiled the whole time! Love this little girl :)
