You all know this one... the night before he left when I killed him best out of 3 in Cribbage! (after he cheated)

A lot can happen in a year... and I'm ready to spend the rest of my life with you Jono. 

In HIS Wakes...

Today I had a wonderful opportunity. My neighbor Scott Thompson had set up an event with the founders of In His Wakes. This ministry goes around all over the nation to ski lakes like ours and takes unprivileged kids and gives them a day on the water! They live in a motor home like this one...

So they drive around to these different sights. They encourage kids to never give up on the water or in life. The guy that came today was Nate with his wife Ivy and their daughter. They travel March through October doing just what they did here today. The coolest part of the entire day was the rope analogy. You have a rope and when you are walking with Jesus Christ you are hocked onto the boat and skiing forward. When you are in charge of your life and you think there is no God... you have a handle with no rope you're not connected. Then when you are connected but not letting God lead you are turned around going backwards... and we all know you will fall when that happens so the only way is following Christ!

Something that impacted me so much was how blessed I am... I forget that sometimes it's nice having the lake in my backyard. I've been raised on the water and over half the kids that came today had never been in a boat. It broke my heart. They ran to the lake and jumped in the boats like they were getting on a plane to fly to Disney World. It was a beautiful thing to see how much they appreciated and enjoyed everything they did today. I'm totally in love with this ministry!!!!!

Steve (blue shirt) is someone my family has skied with our whole lives. He and his wife are amazing skiers and go and participate in Nationals each year... they are also head of Safety and Head Judge at Nationals. It was great to see so many volunteers come out and help out with this! Using our wonderful lake for God's Kingdom is even better yet!

It's a Boat Life!

We have been just ridding the tide down here in Missouri! Just what we needed some family fun away from home! Brinn has been great little water bug. The last TWO weeks will fly (hint hint). Here some of our fun!

Happy Independence Day!!

I love the fourth its always a day full of sun, fun, boating, and loving!!! Today we spent the day with Jono's family in Branson! Our first day out on the water was great I think I have a boater for life. She LOVES the boat and water. She is a water bug. We were in the boat almost all day and swimming!

The sunglasses were not in mommy's budget but I got Brinn and Miss Molly this hat for their Daddy's that serve our wonderful country!

We did miss our Knight in Shinning armor but he'll be home soon enough this one was a girls trip :)

How to be a Dean Lister!

This is so lazy of me because we've been SO busy the last couple days. I'm totally excited to post this and you can make fun of me and judge all you want :) I made the DEANS LIST!!! Yes, this would be the first time for me. I work very hard for my grades and so when something like this comes along I pat myself on the back!

Yes thank you thank you. I'm such a dilligent student. Coming a long way in the last four years! School has been something I've always wanted to do! Freshman year just headed to DMACC to figure out what I wanted. Then sophmore year brought me to Iowa City to be a Hawkeye then Brinn Burger brought me home to ISU. Which I want to remind you all... I cheer for the Hawks and study for the clones... that doesn't mean I'm a clone. Born and raised a Hawk... no turning for me so don't even try!

 Now finally on the last stretch of school it is bitter sweet finishing up will be great but then finding a job will be tough! However, I know God's got a plan for me and He will use me as He pleases!  Thank you Mom and Dad for raising me and sending me to school and PAYING FOR IT! That is such a great blessing I'm so much more thankful for these days then I probably was that Freshman year :) Like my mom always said... They can take your house and everything you OWN but they can't take your degree :) Love you all and thanks everyone for your support and help throughout all of my college career!!! Yay almost done!
