What's Brinn Wearing Wednesday: First Snow!

We woke up to SNOW!!!! This was Brinn's first time really remembering snow or seeing snow. We opened the curtains and she went "WOOOOOW MOMMA DADDY MOMMA." She thinks it's nice outside though and she doesn't have to wear her coat. Jono let her go out and touch the snow and then she said HOT because she hasn't figured out that things are cold too yet. It was so fun to see how much she appreciated the snow when most people are growling that it snowed! Hey it's IOWA!! Gotta start sometime!

Pure Joy.

This can explain a lot sometimes. I was reading tonight and came across this its been awhile since I'd read it and my heart sunk. When we do go through things I can think of about 10 that have happened in the last year for me and we have indescribable Joy...this tiny little itty bitty verse can explain so much for us. 

James 1:2-3

"Consider it PURE JOY, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your Faith develops perseverance."

Today I'm thankful for....

I've been told by two dear friends who have read 1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp. I plan to have it on my nightstand by Christmas Break. Maybe I'll attack it on Thanksgiving break (which is only two weeks away and much needed). Once I get done reading 100 pages a night of text books I'll have time for recreational reading! Last semester of this woot woot! So, a dear friend of mine ha ha told me she started her list and it's really long already. You start by just listing things you're grateful for until you of course get to 1000. I'm not that far yet I have 50. 

I'll let you know how the book is once I get a chance to read it.

Since my Best Friend got married this weekend we had a wile weekend. Today we got an extra hour woke up and still made it to the 9 oclock church! YAY! Then laying around pretty much was the agenda for the day... I checked out an Ipad from the CTLT because I can and I love them and secretly want one. So we had some fun on it!

We had a crazy day today and so to get out of the house we went to the library. Seems to be our new hideout. I got some books for school while Jono and Brinn played.

DIY Large Ruler!

Last weekend I started a project. It was fun I found it on pinterest!!! 

I did it a little different but had a lot of fun with it. It was easy took maybe 2 hours and was only 16 dollars. I had to buy the stain that is why otherwise if you have a board and permanent markers you're good! 

I think I'll put it somwhere in our house haven't decided where yet probably not in Brinn's room it doesn't really go with her room. It's really classic so I could even see putting it in the kitchen or something like this lady did...

I'm thinking of putting it here so it's kind of hidden but still fun! I need to hang it... I started with 6 inches so I can hang it and then take Brinn's height!
