Mommisims Monday!

Brinn's favorite thing to do when she gets home is to put her dance costume on. Aunt Bobbi got her this and I showed her a picture of real ballerina's and how 'we' (I used to be one wink wink) wear leg warmers. So Aunt Michelle had gotten her these for her Birthday so this is the whole outfit. Usually she wears tights and she has this black sweater we make her wear when it's freezing. She loves to dance in the basement to our Ipod with her dance costume. I love her little creative moves she makes when she is dancing. This is definitely something I love about her! She's so fun!

P.S. you never wear underwear under your dance costume. Brinn is just because she just was potty trained

Sunday sleepy.

She fell asleep on her chair reading before nap :) She was actually pooping... which she's struggling going on the potty. So we let her finish her deed so we didn't have a constipated little girl. We came in about 10 minutes later and this is what we found.

It's just what's for breakfast

Breakfast is my favorite meal and each morning the one thing I do get to do with toots is eat our breakfast together! This morning I remembered something my Dad would make me! We would eat so much yummy things in the morning! I could pretty much ask for anything and he would whip it up for me! We'd watch Gilligans Island and eat!!! 

What's Brinn Wearing Wednesday: Sweater Dresses!

Anything that I can layer or wear with multiple things I love! Brinn got this cute sweater dress from Grammy Dawn for family pictures this year. I threw a turtle neck under it for some more warmth. I love turtle necks probably my new favorite "staple". Target had them cheap a couple months ago so I got her a couple to wear with legging's and under shirts... which gives me my next idea that you can always wear cute short sleeve shirts in the winter just throw a shirt under it or a turtle neck we do that with Brinn all the time!

100 year old you betcha

Started student teaching as you know... loving it. It's been stressful at times but really rewarding. I've learned more in the last three weeks then I have the last 5 years in school... sorry there is some things you just can't learn until you Do it. 

My teacher rocks my socks off for REAL so encouraging and amazing. She is definitely doing her job I'm learning that's for sure :) I decided we should dress like we are 100 for the 100th Day of school...

My false teeth smile. You betcah. Oh the fanny pack had tickets in it what we give out to the kids when they are being their B.E.S.T.

Mercy in Disguise

Mercy in Disguise what do you think when you hear this?

Lately I feel I've been faced with things that I can't find the answer to. Why did this happen this way... what is going to be GLORIFIED out of this... It's hard to know. We don't know... God knows.

I was listening to Laura Story tonight while showering and I got it. We don't want to say "Why did this happen to me." WHY me Lord. I know that I've learned that. It's all in the plan and trusting God. Trusting and following is the hardest thing I feel we are called to do. Follow exactly how our life is put out for us... trusting completely in God at every second. I don't I can honestly say I do NOT trust in God at every second of my life. I think I have a better plan about 99 percent of the time.

We do pray for blessings. However we doubt Your Love. It doesn't make sense. This world is to show us this is not our home. This is not even close to Home. 

I'm reading through the Bible this year and wow the last two weeks have been pretty amazing can't wait to see what the rest of this year will bring! 

So...

What if trials of this life.... the rain.... the storms... the hardest nights... are your mercy's in disguise.

Grandpa Durlam's 90th Birthday Party!

We went up to see my Grandparents for my Grandpa's 90th Birthday Party!!! A tradition in our family is to play cribbage. We always have tournaments at almost all of our gatherings. I didn't get a picture of the trophy my Grandpa made years ago!

Surprisingly my Dad HAS NEVER PLAYED... he was terrible. Somethings you still are in the Novice category Dad sorry :) 

They used to do my hair! One time Emily burned my forehead with a curling iron. They would braid my hair till it felt like my eye balls were pulled to the back of my head. I LOVED IT THOUGH and I'd wear the french braids for like two weeks... literally. 

My next quilt. Just kidding this is actually a really hard pattern maybe in twenty years.
